There are 10 hells in Beppu. Bouzu hell is one of them. The mud is always
boiling and you can see the dry field after an explosion in 1969. Admission
fee is 400 yen. "The 9 hells admission ticket (\2,000)" does
not include this hell. The garden is very beautiful , so you can enjoy
walking in the natural Japanese garden. |

Kodei Yu (mud bath) is next to this "Bouzu Hell".
It opens only in the morning. The quality is very nice and clean.

Walking up the hill, you will find a big park within ten minutes. There
you can enjoy flowers each season and by walking through the park you will
reach Global Tower. From the tower, the scenery is very dazzling.

See wild monkeys face to face. The left photo shows Mt. Takasaki where
2 groups of wild monkeys live in. Every day They come down from the mountain
and eat feed one group and after. .Each group has its boss and it is very
interesting to learn monkey's society.
The feeding time is every 30 minutes. Don't miss it. |

You can pat the walrus and seals
and watch a sea otter play basketball along with many other animal shows.

From Umitamago-Acquarium, walking along the beach toward Oita,
you would reach Tanoura beach which has opened a few years ago.
When a whale visited Beppu bay, this beach was a good viewpoint for the
whale watching
